MICHAEL K. FELL

Born in Wilmington, Delaware I have moved around a lot in my life. I am influenced by people’s stories. As a high school art educator now living in Portland, Oregon I am constantly immersed in other people’s stories. Having grown up in Cleveland, Ohio I was surrounded by salt of the earth people who worked hard for a living in a tough, gritty, cold city. I also lived and worked for fourteen years in London, England. In London I lived amongst many cultures and the city's rich, diverse stories both past and present.

 

I am inspired by art, music, film, dance, poetry and literature that speaks honestly about the human condition. Life in all of its many beautiful and ugly complexities excites and inspires me. The paths we walk, the choices we make and our life experiences all help shape us into the people we are or who we strive to be.
